Well so far so good … 😅 We took the plunge yesterday and switched off our electric range. With the rising cost of living, it was a saving we could make immediately. As the log stove is already on, we decided we should utilise that heat to cook as well. I must admit to being slightly nervous at the thought … 😬 But, with a little forward planning and watching many YouTube videos, I think I have a better idea of what I’m doing. Yesterday I made a really yummy cabbage and kale soup … no really (even my kids enjoyed it), and today it’s chicken curry.😋
Thankfully I’ve been collecting cast iron pans for years … which I knew would come in useful one day. 😉
Anyway, with the stove gently heating, I thought I’d have a go at some pancakes for brunch … wish me luck. 🤞🥞
